Pakistani Delegation to Visit Bishkek Amid Student Crisis

Islamabad, In response to the recent unrest in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced the deployment of a high-level delegation to the region tomorrow. The team, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam, aims to address the immediate needs of Pakistani students affected by the violence.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the delegation will travel via special aircraft to meet with senior Kyrgyz officials to discuss the ongoing situation and coordinate efforts regarding the welfare of Pakistani students. These discussions will focus on the provision of medical facilities for those injured during the disturbances and the potential repatriation of students back to Pakistan.

The Prime Minister has been actively monitoring the situation, maintaining regular communication with Pakistan’s Ambassador in Bishkek. Although reports indicate that the situation in Bishkek is now under control, the decision to send the delegation underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad.
