Modi Regime Accused of Confiscating Kashmiri Properties and Resources

Islamabad, The Azad Jammu and Kashmir branch of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has accused the Indian government of seizing properties and natural resources in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir under various pretexts.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK convener Mahmood Ahmed Saghar, during a meeting in Islamabad, discussed the severe implications following the Indian government’s actions on August 5, 2019. Saghar emphasized the ongoing resistance of the Kashmiri people against Indian control and highlighted the violations of United Nations resolutions and the right to self-determination for Kashmiris.

The meeting also expressed gratitude towards Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir for his support of the Kashmiri struggle and addressed concerns over attempts by India to change the demographic makeup of the region. The Hurriyat leaders urged international bodies to acknowledge and act against the reported atrocities, calling for UN intervention to resolve the Kashmir issue based on international resolutions.
