Islamabad, June 05, 2023 (PPI-OT): Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf extended warm felicitation to former President PPP AJK and former opposition leader AJK Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar for being successfully elected as Speaker of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.
The Speaker said that the successful election of Chaudhry Latif Akbar as the speaker of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly reflected the confidence reposed by members of Assembly on people centered policies of PPP.
He also expressed his confidence that Chaudhary Latif Akbar as Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly would continue to exert his efforts for highlighting atrocities on Kashmiris in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir at every international forum.
The Speaker expressed his belief that the legislative Assembly of AJK would continue to legislate in the best public interest under visionary and astute leadership of Chaudhry Latif Akbar. He added, “Ch. Latif Akbar being the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly would follow principles of consensus based politics.”
