NCC-FPP reviews progress on worth $ 3,239 mln development projects of Water Sector

Islamabad, November 19, 2020 (PPI-OT): National Coordination Committee on Foreign-Funded Projects reviewed progress on the development projects of Water Sector in Islamabad on Thursday. At present, 15 foreign-funded projects in Water Sector amounting to 3,239 million dollars are under implementation. The Minister for Economic Affairs Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar chaired meeting of the forum. Speaking on the occasion, he said the ongoing hydropower and water sector development projects are essential for power generation at affordable rates and sustainable development. He said that the incumbent government is focusing on construction of major dams which would fulfill our needs for water, food and energy security.
