Nestle and Partners Deliver 200,000 Glasses of Milk for Flood Relief

LAHORE: Responding to the catastrophic flooding in Pakistan, Nestle Pakistan, in partnership with several key players in the dairy industry, has donated 200,000 glasses of NESTLE MILKPAK to aid those affected. This initiative, in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), seeks to address the nutritional needs of flood victims.

Previously, Nestle Pakistan contributed 300,000 liters of clean drinking water to support vulnerable communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Punjab, marking the first phase of their relief efforts.

Nestle Pakistan’s CEO, Jason Avanceña, highlighted the company’s commitment to supporting communities impacted by the floods. He confirmed that supplies have already been directed to Narowal, Sialkot, Wazirabad, Hafizabad, Chiniot, and Jhang, following NDMA’s guidance.

Awais Bin Nasim, Managing Director of Tetra Pak Pakistan, expressed the alignment of the donation with Tetra Pak’s mission to ensure food safety and availability.

Bulleh Shah Packaging’s CEO, Nasir Zaman Khan, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, emphasizing the role of packaging in facilitating the distribution of NESTLE MILKPAK to those in need.

Rashid Haleem, CEO of Ever Fresh Farms, underscored the importance of aiding those in distress, reflecting on the company’s initiatives to assist flood-stricken communities.

Omega Dairy’s CEO, Hanif Memon, conveyed the company’s solidarity with affected families, reaffirming their commitment to supporting relief efforts through milk donations.

Chaudhry Sultan Mehmood, CEO of Happy Cattle, emphasized the urgent need for nutrition availability, noting the significance of contributing to Nestle and NDMA’s relief activities.

Nestle maintains its dedication to the welfare of communities, ensuring the provision of essential food and beverage products during this crisis, underlining its role as a responsible corporate citizen.
