New Chairpersons Elected to Key Committees in Balochistan Provincial Assembly

Quetta: The Balochistan Provincial Assembly recently held elections for chairpersons of three significant standing committees, setting the stage for enhanced legislative oversight and regional development.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Asghar Ali Tareen has been elected as the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee. The Standing Council for Local Government and Urban Development elected Patrick Saint Masih as the Chairman, reflecting a focus on urban planning initiatives across key development authorities like the Balochistan, Gwadar, and Coastal Development Authorities. Additionally, Zabad Ali Riki was chosen to lead the Committee for Housing and Physical Planning, Roads, and Construction. These elections are part of the provincial government’s efforts to invigorate governance and ensure effective management of development projects and fiscal auditing within the region.
