NHMP Advises Caution on Rainy Roads to Enhance Safety

Islamabad: In response to the ongoing rainy season, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) has issued an advisory urging motorists to exercise caution while driving on slippery roads, particularly on the M-1 from Islamabad to Kot Momin, and the routes toward Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, and Thakot.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, NHMP North Zone spokesman, Muhammad Saqib, highlighted the risks associated with the current intermittent rainfall affecting road conditions. Saqib stressed that the wet and slippery roads could significantly increase the likelihood of traffic accidents in these areas.

To better prepare for travel during these conditions, Saqib advised road users to contact the NHMP helpline at 130 for the latest road status updates. He also recommended that travelers check the NHMP’s social media platforms for timely information before embarking on their journeys, ensuring they are informed and ready to face adverse weather conditions safely.
