OGRA Announces Reduced LPG Prices for April 2024

Islamabad, The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has set the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices for April 2024, marking a decrease from the previous month’s rates.

According to Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the notified LPG producer price has been reduced to Rs. 209,041.58 per ton, translating to Rs. 2,466.69 for an 11.8 kg cylinder, starting April 1, 2024. This adjustment represents a decrease from March’s pricing, which was at Rs. 215,490.16 per ton or Rs. 2,542.78 per cylinder. Consequently, the consumer price for LPG has been set at Rs. 250,341.58 per ton or Rs. 2,954.03 per 11.8 kg cylinder, reflecting a decline of Rs. 6,448.58 per ton or Rs. 76.09 per cylinder from the previous month.

The price adjustments are influenced by changes in the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP) and fluctuations in the US dollar exchange rate, with a noted 2.8% decrease in the Saudi Aramco-CP and a 0.25% reduction in the dollar rate contributing to the overall 2.5% decrease in LPG consumer prices.
