OGRA Announces Reduction in RLNG Prices for August

Islamabad: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially set the Regasified Liquified Natural Gas (RLNG) prices for the month of August, reflecting a decrease from the previous month. This adjustment will impact consumers connected to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL), effective from August 1, 2024.

According to Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the price changes are primarily due to a reduction in the DES (Delivered Ex-Ship) price. For SNGPL, the new transmission price is $12.6862 per MMBtu, and the distribution price is $13.3902 per MMBtu. For SSGCL, transmission will cost $11.5281 per MMBtu and distribution $13.1567 per MMBtu. These prices represent a decrease of approximately 6.57% to 8.50% from July’s rates. The detailed price notification for August is available on OGRA’s official website.
