Packages Limited Announces 69th Annual General Meeting and Dividend Declarations

Karachi, Packages Limited has announced its 69th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for shareholders, scheduled to take place at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan in Karachi and virtually via Zoom on April 29, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. The notice was published today in the Business Recorder and Nawai-Waqt newspapers, in accordance with Clause 5.6.9 of the PSX Rule Book.

The agenda for the AGM includes the confirmation of the minutes from the last Extraordinary General Meeting held on May 29, 2023. Shareholders will also receive, consider, and adopt the audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023, alongside the directors’ and auditors’ reports. Furthermore, the meeting will address the approval and declaration of dividends for ordinary and preference shares. The board has proposed a final cash dividend of Rs. 27.50 per ordinary share and Rs. 26.787 per preference share/convertible stock held by the International Finance Corporation.

Additionally, the AGM will appoint and fix remuneration for the external auditors for the coming year, with M/s. A.F. Ferguson and Co., who have consented to their reappointment, being recommended by the board. Shareholders interested in attending the meeting virtually are required to register by April 25, 2024, by emailing their details to the designated address provided by the company.

Packages Limited has also made available the audited financial statements and related materials through electronic means, accessible via a QR code on the company’s website, and has announced the closure of its Share Transfer Books from April 23 to April 29, 2024, for dividend entitlement.
