Pakistan and Japan Explore Enhanced Manpower Collaboration

Islamabad: The Federal Secretary of Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource Development (OPHRD) met with representatives from the Japanese private sector to discuss expanding manpower export to Japan, highlighting potential growth in bilateral labor relations.

According to Ministry of Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource Development announcement issued on 31 July 2024, the meeting involved Mr. Hiroyuki Yamashita and Mr. Tsugiyuki Kitano, who represent the Aogiri Cooperative Association a key sending organization under the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) in Japan and the AXEL Japanese Training Center in Pakistan. The discussions focused on mutual cooperation and strategies to enhance the scope and efficiency of manpower export from Pakistan to Japan, aiming to benefit both nations economically and socially.

The session concluded with both parties expressing a commitment to continue collaboration and to explore further avenues to facilitate the recruitment and training of Pakistani workers for the Japanese market.
