Pakistan and Turkey Aim to Strengthen Military Ties

Islamabad, In a significant meeting today at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir welcomed His Excellency General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces. The visit highlights the ongoing commitment between Pakistan and Turkey to deepen their defense cooperation.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the discussions centered around various aspects of mutual interest, with both parties expressing satisfaction over the longstanding, deep-rooted relations between their nations, rooted in historical, cultural, and religious ties. The COAS emphasized the importance of enhancing military cooperation between the two armed forces.

General Bayraktaroglu praised the Pakistan Army’s pivotal role in maintaining regional peace and stability. His visit began with a tribute at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, where he laid a floral wreath, followed by a guard of honor presented by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army, signifying the deep military respect shared between the two countries.
