Rahim Yar Khan, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has affirmed the Pakistan Armed Forces’ readiness to protect the nation’s sovereignty, following his participation in the Field Exercise “Shamsheer-e-Sehra” near Rahim Yar Khan. The exercise demonstrated a comprehensive military response capability, reflecting the forces’ preparedness to face any potential threats.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the exercise aimed to refine the army’s professional skills and operational tactics, essential for addressing future challenges. General Munir observed a series of integrated maneuvers involving various military components such as Armour, Infantry, Mechanized Infantry, Artillery, Air Defence, and Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, emphasizing a coordinated defense strategy.
The involvement of Pakistan Air Force aircraft highlighted the joint operational capacity of the country’s defense forces. Additionally, the exercise incorporated advanced Electronic Warfare and Information Operations tactics, focusing on neutralizing the adversary’s communication networks and countering misinformation during conflict scenarios.
During his interaction with troops, General Munir commended their training standards, operational readiness, and morale. He stressed the importance of constant vigilance and preparation to deter any adversarial actions.
