Pakistan Business Group Launches Punjab Chapter to Bolster Economic Progress

Karachi, In a significant move to enhance economic development in Pakistan, the Pakistan Business Group (PBGO) inaugurated its Punjab chapter at a ceremony attended by key industrial and commerce figures. The event highlighted the contributions of Faraz-ur-Rehman, the PBGO’s Founder President, and lauded his role in industrial development within the nation. Esteemed attendees, including Caretaker Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Punjab and other business leaders, marked the occasion by discussing the potential for industrial growth and the importance of nurturing local talent and entrepreneurs.

According to Pakistan Business Group, SM Tanveer, the Caretaker Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Punjab, commended Faraz-ur-Rehman for his exceptional contribution to Pakistan’s economic progress and for making Korangi’s industrial area a leading industrial zone. He recognized Rehman’s leadership, instilled by his late father SM Munir, a renowned business community leader, and noted PBGO’s expansion worldwide with the establishment of the Punjab chapter, signaling a new avenue for economic advancement.

During the ceremony, Faraz-ur-Rehman reflected on his aspirations for Pakistan’s economic landscape, envisioning the country as a formidable force in Asia. He outlined PBGO’s commitment to fostering business community linkages and facilitating entrepreneurs since its inception two years prior. Rehman elaborated on the organization’s expansion, which now includes chapters in Malaysia, Africa, and Bahrain, and its strategic partnerships with universities to promote industrialization and create opportunities for the youth within Pakistan.

Sheikh Zun Noreen, Chairman of the PBGO Punjab chapter, emphasized the crucial role of the youth and small entrepreneurs in the country’s economic growth. Echoing his sentiments, Chairman of the Asian Business Council, Sajid Sheikh, pointed out Pakistan’s vast business potential and Bahrain’s status as a business epicenter in the Arab world. The ceremony concluded with the awarding of gold medals and shields to members who have shown outstanding performance.
