Pakistan Coast Guards to Receive Modern Upgrades, Announces Interior Minister

Karachi, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has declared plans to modernize the Pakistan Coast Guards, aiming to bolster their capacity to combat smuggling. The announcement was made during a meeting with the Pakistan Coast Guards in Karachi, where the minister underscored the critical role of coastal security in national law enforcement.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Naqvi emphasized the importance of the Coast Guards in maintaining security and preventing illegal activities along Pakistan’s coastline. Additionally, in a subsequent meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Naqvi affirmed his commitment to utilizing all available resources to maintain law and order throughout the country. The discussions also covered the broader role of security agencies in ensuring peace and addressed various mutual interests.
