Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority Host Iftar Party in honour of Editors

Islamabad: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) hosted an Iftar party in honour of editors, senior journalists and anchor persons here on Saturday in a local hotel.

Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan greeted the mediamen and informally discussed with them the current situation prevailing in the country, especially in Karachi. She assured that the government is doing its level best to normalise the situation in the commercial hub of the country.

She said as a result of government efforts, the situation will reverse soon and peace will prevail.

Besides a large number of mediamen. Chairman Pemra, Dr. Abdul Jabbar, Information Secretary Taimur Azmat Osman, Principal Information officer, Saleem Beg and senior officials of Ministry of Information and Pemra also attended the Iftar party.
