Pakistan High Commission and Sub-Missions in UK to Close for Independence Day

London: The High Commission of Pakistan in London, along with its Sub-Missions in Birmingham, Bradford, Glasgow, and Manchester, will be closed on Wednesday, 14 August 2024, in observance of Pakistan Independence Day. This closure affects all routine operations, and only emergency consular services will be available to the community during this holiday.

According to High Commission For Pakistan – United Kingdom, the closures are in honor of Pakistan’s national Independence Day, a statutory holiday marking the country’s independence. Community members in need of urgent consular assistance on this day have been advised to use the emergency contact numbers provided on the High Commission’s website.

This annual closure is a routine practice to allow staff and officials to participate in Independence Day activities, and to recognize the significance of the day in the Pakistani community both domestically and abroad. The High Commission and its Sub-Missions will resume regular operations the following day.
