Islamabad, In a pivotal meeting, Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, discussed collaborative strategies with Pula, a Switzerland-based insurance company, to implement climate change protection measures for Pakistan’s agricultural sector through comprehensive insurance solutions.

According to Press Information Department, the Asia Head of Pula, Ms. Elise Lee, expressed a strong willingness to cooperate closely with the Pakistani ministry to boost agricultural resilience against climate impacts. The discussions underscored a mutual commitment to consistent engagement and collaboration aimed at supporting farmers and enhancing the sector’s sustainability in the face of climate challenges.

The initiative is expected to introduce innovative insurance products tailored to the unique needs of Pakistan’s diverse agricultural landscapes, providing a critical safety net for farmers affected by increasingly unpredictable weather patterns and climate-related incidents.
