Pakistan to Brief UN Security Council on South Asia Developments

Islamabad: Pakistan has decided to formally apprise the United Nations Security Council of the latest developments in South Asia.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan will particularly brief the UN Security Council on how India’s aggressive actions, repeated provocations, and inflammatory rhetoric pose a serious threat to regional and global peace and stability.

It will also highlight India’s unlawful and unilateral attempt to put the Indus Waters Treaty in abeyance, which is a clear violation of its international obligations.

Pakistan will also call upon the United Nations Security Council to exercise its primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security by taking appropriate measures to address these concerning developments.
