Pakistan, Turkiye Pledge to Enhance Bilateral Trade and Investment


Washington D.C., Pakistan and Turkiye have committed to strengthening their bilateral relationship by boosting trade and investment. This agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Turkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the two ministers reviewed the long-standing ties between their nations across various sectors including historical, political, economic, cultural, and educational fields. During their discussions, Minister Aurangzeb expressed Pakistan’s interest in learning from Turkiye’s expertise in the areas of power generation and distribution, recognizing the potential benefits for Pakistan’s energy sector.



This meeting highlights a continued effort to foster and deepen the cooperative bonds between Pakistan and Turkiye, aiming to create mutually beneficial opportunities in trade and economic development.
