Pakistan urges Int’l community to harness new technologies for betterment of people

Pakistan has urged the international community to harness new technologies like artificial intelligence for the betterment of the people.

Speaking at the Annual UNGA-IPU Parliamentary Hearing in New York, Pakistani representative Senator Mohsin Aziz said that without regulation, these new technologies would become lethal.

He also emphasized the necessity of treaties and conventions to address the potential threats posed by these technologies.

Senator Aziz underlined the need for awareness of weaponization of information, communications, and technologies and cyberspace to ensure peace and security.
