Pakistani Prime Minister Honors Late Iranian President at Tehran Memorial Ceremony

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended a memorial ceremony in Tehran to honor the late Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage, who perished in a recent helicopter crash. The Prime Minister paid tribute to President Raisi’s leadership in fostering development and promoting stronger relations between Iran and Pakistan, as well as his regional contributions.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the ceremony, Prime Minister Sharif expressed profound condolences on behalf of both the Pakistani government and its people to the Acting President of Iran, Dr. Muhammad Mokhber. He conveyed the deep shock and sympathy felt by Pakistanis and reiterated the nation’s solidarity with Iran during this period of grief. Sharif also remembered the late president as a great friend of Pakistan, whose recent visit had further solidified bilateral ties.
