Pakistani Textile Manufacturers Make a Mark at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2024

Shanghai, Pakistani textile manufacturers showcased their products at the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Spring Edition 2024, which concluded on March 8 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China. A total of 16 Pakistani fabric, denim, and yarn manufacturers participated in this prestigious event, highlighting the quality and diversity of Pakistan’s textile offerings on an international platform.

According to Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, the event saw nearly 4,000 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, including Argentina, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Italy, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and the USA. The expo served as a melting pot of international and domestic exhibitors, drawing over 100 buyers from prominent associations and chambers of commerce across the globe, such as the Association of Garments, Textiles, Embroidery, and Knitting (AGTEK) and the Federation of Malaysian Fashion Textile and Apparel (FMFTA), among others.

Yarn Expo Spring, a concurrent event, featured over 500 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions, including Bangladesh, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. This wide-ranging participation underscores the global nature of the textile industry and the significant role of the expo in facilitating international trade and collaboration.

Mr. Umair, Marketing Manager at Fabcot Industries, expressed optimism about the exhibition’s outcome, noting the interest from visitors from China, India, and Bangladesh and the potential for generating significant business. The participation of Pakistani manufacturers at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Spring Edition 2024 not only showcases the country’s textile capabilities but also opens doors for further international collaboration and market expansion.
