Srinagar, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has openly stated that the residents of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have no expectations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit tomorrow. This sentiment reflects a broader disillusionment with the central government’s policies and actions in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, PDP Spokesperson Suhail Bukhari, during a press conference at the party’s Srinagar headquarters, articulated the community’s grievances against the BJP-led government’s approach towards Kashmir. Bukhari accused the Indian government of arrogance and a failure to genuinely address the issues facing the people of Kashmir.

“The BJP government’s consistent ignorance towards the sentiments of Kashmiris and its unilateral decision-making processes have left the people with no expectations from Prime Minister Modi’s visit,” Bukhari stated. He contrasted the current apathy towards Modi’s visit with the warmer receptions accorded to previous prime ministers like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh, suggesting a significant shift in public sentiment since 2014.
