Peshawar, Provincial Minister for Labor, Fazal Shakur Khan, has directed the inclusion of artificial jewelry training courses in vocational institutions managed by the Labor Department, highlighting the significant market demand and potential employment opportunities it could create for graduates.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the directive was given during the inauguration of a one-day exhibition festival at the Labor Colony Women Vocational Center in Charsadda district. The event showcased various handicrafts and products made by local artisans from vocational centers across Charsadda, Mardan, and Peshawar. Minister Khan emphasized that introducing courses like artificial jewelry making would not only provide respectable job opportunities but also promote local industrialization.
The festival featured stalls displaying embroidered clothes, handmade shoes, and food items, among other crafts, highlighting the skills developed at these institutions. Minister Khan praised the efforts and products of the vocational trainees and stressed the importance of providing market access to these skilled workers at both local and national levels. The event underlined the government’s commitment to enhancing vocational training and supporting women entrepreneurs in the region.
