Islamabad, July 19, 2023 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan, has expressed unflinching support and solidarity with Kashmiris living in Pakistan, AJ and K, IIOJK and elsewhere in the world on the Day of Accession to Pakistan. In a tweet on Wednesday night, he said this day marks the adoption of a resolution by All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference at a convention in Srinagar in 1947 that called for merging Kashmir with Pakistan.
The Prime Minister strongly condemned the relentless Indian persecution of Kashmiris and grave violations of human rights, and called upon the United Nations and international community to ensure the implementation of the UN resolutions. Shehbaz Sharif said without the just and peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute, South Asia will never be able to attain durable peace and unlock its true development potential.
