Kotli:A police official was seriously injured in a confrontation with a violent group in Kotli, Azad Kashmir, challenging the group’s claims of peaceful intentions.
According to Radio Pakistan, the incident occurred in the Kala Dab area of Kotli district when members of the group opened fire on police personnel. The group had previously blocked the road, creating difficulties for local citizens.
In response, police launched an operation to clear the blockade and restore traffic. During this operation, armed members of the group fired shots without provocation, injuring Azad Kashmir Police Constable Abdul Rauf.
Constable Rauf was immediately taken to the DHQ Hospital in Mirpur, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
