President approves appointment of Shakeel Ahmed, as Judge Accountability Court Multan

Islamabad, July 13, 2012 (PPI-OT): President Asif Ali Zardari on the advice of the Prime Minister has approved appointment of Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, as Judge Accountability Court Multan.

The Summary of Ministry of Law and Justice received in the Presidency through Prime Minister’s office said that the post of Judge, Accountability Court Multan has fallen vacant due to transfer of Mr. Muhammad Islam in pursuance of Lahore High Court notification dated 30 May 2012.

Law and Justice division recommended and proposed the name of Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, Judge Anti-Terrorism Court-I Lahore, from the panel sent to them by Lahore High Court, to be appointed as the Judge Accountability Court Multan on deputation basis in his own pay and scale for a period of three years or till the date of his superannuation whichever is earlier, form the date he joins the office. Accordingly the Prime Minister advised the President to accord his assent to the said appointment.
