President Asif Ali Zardari Calls for United Efforts to Combat Malaria, Islamabad

Islamabad, On World Malaria Day, President Asif Ali Zardari stressed the necessity for collective action to combat the rise in malaria cases, particularly following the devastating floods last year that affected several regions of the country.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari underscored Pakistan’s commitment to the Global Malaria Programme, introducing new measures focused on testing, confirming, and standardizing treatment for all suspected malaria cases. He emphasized the urgent need for provincial governments and various stakeholders to collaborate closely in response to the increased malaria threat.

The President also highlighted the importance of public awareness campaigns to educate citizens about malaria prevention and control. He called on all relevant parties to intensify their efforts to curb the disease’s spread across the nation.
