Islamabad Plans New Standing Committees in National Assembly

Islamabad, In a concerted effort to organize and strengthen parliamentary oversight, members of Pakistan’s National Assembly met with Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq today to discuss the formation of new standing committees.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting included prominent members such as Syed Naveed Qamar, Shazia Marri, and Malik Aamir Dogar, among others. The formation of these committees is critical for effective legislative functioning, as they play a key role in reviewing legislation, conducting inquiries, and overseeing government actions.

The establishment of new committees is expected to enhance the efficiency and accountability of the National Assembly by ensuring more specialized and focused legislative reviews and discussions.
