Audit report of fiscal year 2022-23 was presented to President Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad today.
Auditor General of Pakistan Muhammad Ajmal Gondal presented the report.
Speaking on the occasion, the President called for utilizing modern technology, adopting better controls, automation and international standard audit practices to make the audit process more effective.
He said the audit system in the country needs to be improved for better governance, transparency and accountability.
The President appreciated the role of Auditor General of Pakistan in maintaining financial discipline in the country.
