President Zardari Visits Chinese Embassy, Pledges Support After Bisham Attack


Islamabad, President Asif Ali Zardari made a significant visit to the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad today to express condolences for the loss of Chinese nationals in the recent terrorist attack in Bisham. During his visit, President Zardari vehemently condemned the attack, emphasizing Pakistan’s solidarity with the Chinese people and assuring heightened security measures for Chinese citizens in the country.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari’s visit underscores the deep-seated bond between Pakistan and China, as he conveyed the Pakistani nation’s shared sorrow and steadfast support to the Chinese community in the aftermath of the attack. The President’s commitment to taking all necessary steps to secure Chinese workers on various projects in Pakistan was a key message of his visit.



Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, expressing gratitude for President Zardari’s gesture, highlighted the universal threat posed by terrorists, calling for their relentless pursuit. He emphasized the importance of bolstered counter-terrorism collaboration and improved security for Chinese personnel working in Pakistan.



Ambassador Jiang also reaffirmed China’s determination to deepen its cooperation with Pakistan, particularly in support of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other bilateral projects.
