Prime Minister Sharif Condemns Assassination of Landi Kotal Press Club President

Landi Kotal, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the killing of Khalil Gibran, President of the Landi Kotal Press Club. The Prime Minister directed authorities to apprehend the perpetrators promptly and ensure they face severe legal consequences, emphasizing the government’s commitment to safeguarding journalists’ rights and lives.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sharif extended his deepest sympathies to Gibran’s family and reiterated the government’s determination to protect the freedom and lives of journalists. This commitment comes in response to the tragic incident where Gibran was shot dead in the Mazarina Sultan Khel area of Landi Kotal last night. He was subsequently laid to rest in Landi Kotal today.
