Prime Minister Sharif Stresses Export Growth for Economic Development

Islamabad, In discussions with a delegation from the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the necessity of fostering a business-friendly environment to spur the country’s economic growth through increased exports.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif linked the progress of the business community directly with the nation’s development. He stressed the critical need to enhance Pakistan’s exports to achieve a sufficient growth rate. The delegation from the Karachi Chamber of Commerce informed the Prime Minister about various challenges facing the business sector, prompting him to instruct relevant authorities to consult with representatives from the KCCI to resolve these issues.

Further directives were issued by the Prime Minister to ensure that industries receive essential services like gas and power to aid their operations. The delegation also lauded the government’s business-friendly policies, crediting them with helping the Karachi Stock Market surpass the significant milestone of 72,000 points.
