Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has declared plans to extend the Danish School System throughout Pakistan, aiming to improve education accessibility, especially in underprivileged and remote areas.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a ceremony at the construction site of a new Danish School in Islamabad, Prime Minister Sharif announced the government’s intention to establish Danish schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir. Reflecting on his tenure as the Chief Minister of Punjab, Sharif credited the initiation of Danish Schools in the province for providing quality education and contributing to the professional success of many students.
The Prime Minister highlighted the concerning figure of approximately 260 million children out of school globally, reiterating the government’s commitment to integrating these children into the education system. He pledged full governmental support for the construction and operational costs of the new Danish Schools across the regions mentioned.
Sharif also mentioned the ongoing efforts to prioritize educational development, particularly in remote areas of Pakistan. The Islamabad Danish School, projected to span thirty acres, is expected to feature modern equipment and facilities. In an ambitious move to expedite the educational agenda, he directed the Secretary of Education to complete the Islamabad project within six months, significantly ahead of the original two-year timeline.
