Pakistan and Turkiye Pledge Mutual Support on Core National Interests

Islamabad, In a significant telephonic exchange, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reinforced their commitment to steadfastly support each other’s core national interests and called for peace in Palestine, amidst exchanging Eid-ul-Fitr greetings.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the conversation highlighted the enduring and deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, with both leaders expressing a desire to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors. They emphasized the importance of peace, prosperity, and unity for the people of both nations and reiterated their unwavering support for each other on critical national matters.

This discussion also served as a platform for Prime Minister Sharif to reiterate his invitation to President Erdogan for an early visit to Pakistan. Such a visit is anticipated to further cement the bilateral relationship and pave the way for the 7th session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, aimed at discussing future collaborations between the two countries.
