President Summons Joint Parliamentary Session in Islamabad

Islamabad, The President of Pakistan has summoned a joint sitting of both houses of Parliament to convene in the capital city. This session, scheduled for the 16th of April, 2024, is set to address pressing national issues.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the session is called to order under the constitutional powers vested in the President, per Article 54 read with clause (3) of Article 56. The meeting will take place at Parliament House, Islamabad, on Tuesday, the 16th of April at 4:00 p.m., as stated by Tahir Hussain, the Secretary General, in a notification issued to the Manager of the Printing Corporation of Pakistan Press.

This assembly is expected to bring together members of both the National Assembly and the Senate to deliberate on the country’s legislative agenda. The notification also specifies the immediate publication of this announcement in the Gazette of Pakistan, ensuring formal communication and adherence to procedural requirements.
