Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Calls for Robust Media Policy to Counter Misinformation

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the importance of crafting a more effective media policy to counteract campaigns against the state, government, and national security institutions.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting with PML-N Parliamentary Leader in the Senate and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Prime Minister Sharif urged the need to expose those spreading uncertainty and destabilizing the country. He called for collaborative efforts between the government and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to educate the public with accurate information. The discussions also touched on the broader challenges facing the nation and the role of the Senate in upholding democratic values and fostering a positive image of Pakistan.
