Pro-Khalistan rally challenges Amit Shah to come and see independence sentiments in Punjab

Amritsar, June 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Demand for Khalistan roared in the air of Punjab, India, on the 39th anniversary of the Sikh massacre in the name of Operation Blue Star, which was carried out by Indian army in the first week of June in 1984 in the State and against Sikh community elsewhere in India.

Forceful pro-Khalistan rallies were taken out in Amritsar and other parts of Punjab by Sikh activists. Addressing one such rally, Sikh youth leader Paramjit Singh Mand challenged Indian government, particularly Home Minister Amit Shah to come and see the aspiration of the Sikh community for their independent homeland, Khalistan.

Amid slogans like “We Want Freedom” and “We Want Khalistan”, Paramjit Singh Mand deplored that Amit Shah was not present in Punjab to see for himself the “rising tide” for Khalistan in the state.
