Pune Flight Incident: Woman Assaults Passengers and Bites Security Officer

Pune: A disturbing incident unfolded on a Pune-Delhi IndiGo flight at Lohegaon Airport when a passenger, identified as Surekha Singh, attacked fellow passengers and bit a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the trouble started over a dispute concerning seating arrangements, prompting the flight crew to seek assistance from the CISF. When confronted, Singh reacted violently, slapping and biting Constable Priyanka Reddy. She was eventually restrained and removed from the aircraft, and subsequently handed over to the airport police.

Legal actions have been initiated against Singh, with charges including voluntarily causing hurt and assault. The CISF reported that Singh turned violent following the pilot’s decision to refuse her continuation on the flight, culminating in her biting the constable during her removal.
