Punjab Assembly approves over Rs358b urgent expenditure budget

Punjab Assembly today approved a one-month urgent current expenditures budget worth over 358 Billion rupees for various sectors.

The motion was moved in the House by treasury member Maryam Aurangzeb, who said that the urgent current expenditures budget is necessary for expenditures in the sectors of education, health and employees’ salaries.

On objection from Opposition member Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan, the Speaker clarified that the detail of the urgent current expenditures budget for March will be presented before the House.

During the session, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz went to Opposition benches and exchanged pleasantries with the Opposition member Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan.
