Punjab Caretaker govt is not abolishing health card: Amir Mir

Punjab caretaker Health Minister Javed Akram has said that the provincial government is not abolishing health cards and now identity card is the health card.

Addressing a press conference along with Caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir in Lahore, he said such news regarding the abolishing the health card are wrong and the treatment of the poor is not stopped and now the health card facility will be given free only for those who cannot afford.

Javed Akram said people became billionaires with health cards designed for the convenience of the poor. He said there was no check and balance on health card and national treasury would pay as much as the doctor prescribes the expenses and prices of medicines.

He said Punjab government is going to create its own data of poor people.
