Punjab Govt forms Agriculture Commission to strengthen farming sector

Punjab government has decided to establish Punjab Agriculture Commission to resolve problems faced by farmers and to make the sector robust.

Minister for Agriculture Syed Ashiq Karmani will be Chairman while Minister for Irrigation and Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja Rehman have been appointed as members of the Commission.

The Agriculture Commission will consist of 31 members, including progressive farmers.

The Commission will present recommendations for food security and profitable farming across Punjab.
