Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has called on leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to bring their families to protests, rather than involving other people’s children. She suggested that the children of PTI leaders, namely Qasim, Sulaiman, and Terian, should lead the demonstrations. Bukhari criticized the PTI’s approach, stating that if they consider rising against the state as Jihad, they will be treated as outsiders.
According to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bukhari made these remarks at a press conference at the Directorate General Public Relations. She expressed concerns about the dissemination of unverified news in the country and announced the Punjab government’s initiative to provide dialysis cards for patients. These cards will offer up to 10 lakh dialysis facilities and access to necessary tests, benefiting not only local but also out-of-province patients.
The minister emphasized the recent positive developments in Pakistan’s economy, noting improvements in the stock exchange and a reduction in inflation. She refuted claims of financial losses reported by an English newspaper and stated that Punjab will deliver a surplus budget, with a 40 billion rupee surplus reported for the first quarter. Bukhari also addressed political controversies involving PTI figures and reaffirmed Punjab’s commitment to maintaining order and transparency in governance.
