Punjab Launches “Plant a Tree for Pakistan” Campaign

Lahore: Food Minister Bilal Yasin initiated the “Plant a Tree for Pakistan” campaign on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, involving a significant tree planting activity at the Punjab Food Authority headquarters.

According to Punjab Food Department, the campaign was launched with Minister Yasin planting a tree, accompanied by DG Punjab Food Authority Asim Javed and other officials. The campaign aims to plant trees in all provincial food department offices, emphasizing the role of trees in providing oxygen and combating environmental change.

Minister Yasin called on citizens to participate in the campaign, particularly during the Independence Day celebrations, urging them to fulfill their national duty by planting trees. The campaign will also be integrated into events at government and private schools, coordinated by the Punjab Food Authority.
