Punjab P and D Board Urges Swift Approval and Transparency in Development Programs

Lahore: Secretary of the Planning and Development Board Punjab, Dr. Asif Tufail, chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the AKS Auditorium, focusing on the progress of the Annual Development Program (ADP) for 2024–25. He emphasized the importance of expedited approval processes for development schemes and ensuring transparency in fund allocation and project execution.

According to Planning and Development Board – Punjab, Dr. Tufail directed the attending P and D officers from headquarters, divisions, and districts to finalize all pending approvals for development schemes by July 31, 2024. He highlighted the necessity of uploading all project details (PC-I) on the SMDP platform to facilitate timely fund release and enhance transparency. The Secretary also prioritized the Chief Minister’s initiatives, urging swift approval processes and called for officers to personally visit project sites to ensure that implementation adheres to the highest standards of transparency and merit.
