Commissioner Shafaqat emphasized the importance of a collaborative approach with various stakeholders to devise a lasting solution to improve city living conditions. Among the actionable steps taken, he ordered the relocation of car showrooms outside the city center to alleviate traffic congestion, a move that prompted discussions with concerned showroom owners about potential impacts. Further directives were issued to tackle illegal activities in high-rise buildings and address the concerns of non-governmental organizations about child labor and drug addiction affecting the youth in Quetta
. Commissioner Shafaqat committed to enforcing regulations to safeguard children from labor that negatively impacts their health and to improve medical facilities and services across the city.
