Quetta to Expand Green Bus Service with 100 New Buses

Quetta, In a major boost to public transportation within Quetta, Commissioner Hamza Shafqat announced the approval of 100 new green buses to serve the city’s growing transit needs. This expansion aims to enhance the existing bus services, with the first 25 buses expected to arrive within the next month and a half.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the green bus service has significantly improved public transport in Quetta, where currently only eight buses operate on a private contract. These buses successfully transport over a thousand passengers daily. The addition of 100 new buses is anticipated to further ease the city’s traffic by providing a reliable alternative to rickshaws and motorcycles, thereby improving the overall traffic system and the quality of travel for its citizens.
