Rally held in Muzaffarabad to pay homage to Ashraf Sehrai

Muzaffarabad, May 05, 2023 (PPI-OT):A rally was held in Muzaffarabad, today, to pay tribute to senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, on his second martyrdom anniversary. The rally was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir to eulogize the sacrifices of Ashraf Sehrai for the Kashmir cause.

The Chairman of Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Shaukat Javed Mir, Hurriyat leader Mushtaq Salam, Usman Ali Hashim, Chaudhry Muhammad Mushtaq, Hafiz Bilal Ahmad Farooqi and Muhammad Ishaq Shaheen in their speeches paid homage to the martyred leader for his outstanding services in the religious, social and political fields.

They said that Ashraf Sehrai, who was a prominent leader of the Kashmir freedom movement and a trustworthy associate of the iconic Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani, spent most of his life in Indian jails.

The speakers said one of Ashraf Sehrai’s sons, Junaid Sehrai, was martyred by Indian troops on May 19, 2020, one year before his own martyrdom. Ashraf Sehrai and his entire family has been victim of Indian atrocities for many decades, but they never comprised on the freedom of Kashmir from Indian yoke.

History is a witness that the blood of the martyrs has never gone in vain and the blood of the martyrs of Kashmir will also not go waste, they maintained. On the occasion, special prayer was offered for the elevation of Ashraf Sehrai and other Kashmiri martyrs.
