Saif Power Limited Announces E-Voting and Postal Ballot for Upcoming EOGM

Islamabad, In a recent announcement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE), Saif Power Limited has outlined the procedures for electronic voting and voting by postal ballot for its Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM) scheduled for April 15, 2024. This move follows the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulations, 2018, as amended by a notification from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on December 05, 2022.

The members of Saif Power Limited are notified that they will have the option to exercise their voting rights through an electronic voting facility or by postal ballot. This procedure is for the special businesses to be discussed at the EOGM, which is to be held at 11:00 a.m. on the specified date. The announcement also mentioned that the ballot paper for voting and the detailed e-voting procedure will be published in “The Nation” (English) and Nawa-i-Waqat (Urdu) newspapers on April 04, 2024, ahead of the meeting.

This development is in accordance with the regulatory requirements and is subject to the conditions contained in the mentioned regulations. Saif Power Limited’s move to enable electronic and postal voting signifies an effort to enhance shareholder participation in the company’s decision-making process, particularly for those unable to attend the meeting in person.

Members of the exchange have been requested to inform their members accordingly, ensuring widespread awareness of the voting options available for the upcoming EOGM.
